Entering its 12th year, the Hamilton Film Festival (HFF) has welcomed filmmakers from around the world in a celebration of independent film. This year’s edition boasts a music theme and from November 4-12, the Hammer will be hosting screenings of 150 films ranging from documentaries about the power of metal in war torn Sarajevo to the rise of contemporary Canadian indigenous music.

May 5-6: Father John Misty It’s been a wild ride for Josh Tillman who has grown from Fleet Foxes drummer to one of indie rock’s most fascinating singer-songwriters. Released last month, Father John Misty’s latest disc Pure Comedy has received universal acclaim, with lead single ‘Total Entertainment Forever’ featuring Macauley Culkin starring as Kurt Cobain.
